2017 First Workshop for Staff Professional Development
On July 20, 2017 CRC had a workshop called “Growing, Learning & Developing to Prepare for a Brighter Future.” It was the first time we had brought together staff members from all areas of college and university life. The emphasis was on early career staffers who wanted to learn more about ways to rise up the higher education staff ladder and/or strengthen their capabilities. It took place at NC State’s Friday Institute for Educational Innovation, and around 80 people attended. The topics were varied, including the multi-generational work force, interpersonal communication, customer service, FERPA, disability services, and conflict management.
