2019 Library Workshop
The 12th annual Library Workshop took place at Meredith College’s Carlyle Campbell Library on August 7, 2019. It had an opening session with NCLIVE Director Rob Ross and four sessions with topics: “Preparing for the Future: Developing Project Management Skills in Libraries,” “Challenge Stereotypes and Embrace Diversity with The Human Library,” “NCICU Library Collaborative,” and “Break into Escape Room Design at Your Library.”
And one of the new features this year was the informal Round Table Discussions on these topics:
• “Wellness and Stress Relief for Students”
• “Circulation Best Practices”
• “Interlibrary Loan & Document Delivery”
• “Collection Development Trends”
• “Student Supervision”
• “Building Faculty & Campus Partnerships”
The post assessment stressed how much the participants thought the Round Table Discussions were very valuable.
The photos above show one of the round table discussion groups, and the one below shows people working on an Escape Room example. The photo to the right is also an Escape Room example.
