RALEIGH, N.C. (August 29, 2024) – Wake Tech is proud to announce that five faculty members have been recognized by their peers with the Exemplary Course Program (ECP) Award.
The ECP Award, presented by Anthology, recognizes faculty and course designers from schools, colleges and universities around the world who develop engaging and innovative courses that represent the very best in technology and learning.
The 2024 ECP award winners from Wake Tech are:
- Brittany Hochstaetter, senior professor, Communication – COM-120: Introduction to Interpersonal Communication
- Emily Moore, department head, Communication & Theatre – COM-120: Introduction to Interpersonal Communication
- Emily Holliday, coordinator, eLearning Support – MKT-232: Social Media Marketing
- Carla Osborne, associate professor, Graphic Design – GRD-152: Computer Design Tech I
- George Cox, associate professor, Simulation & Game Development – SGD-167: Ethics
These courses demonstrate excellence in four areas:
- Course design: A well-constructed course framework that clearly outlines learning objectives and employs effective instructional strategies
- Interaction and collaboration: Exceptional levels of student engagement with ample opportunities for collaboration and interaction
- Assessment: Robust evaluation mechanisms aligned with learning outcomes, providing a meaningful assessment of student achievement
- Learner support: Comprehensive support resources available to students, ensuring a supportive learning environment within and outside the course structure
