William Peace University Earns Historic Second-Place Finish at Ethics Bowl

The William Peace University Ethics Bowl team didn’t come away with a win. However, they still had a historic finish at the annual North Carolina Independent Colleges & Universities (NCICU) Ethics Bowl.

The William Peace University team advanced to the finals for the first time in school history, failing to two-time defending champion Queens University.

The NCICU Ethics Bowl is a debate competition, but unlike a normal debate, two teams can have the same conclusion to their argument. The Ethics Bowl is more about the content, the quality of reason, and the presentation style. Twenty teams from the NCICU participated at the Legislative Complex in downtown Raleigh.

William Peace University went 3-1 in the first four rounds of the event.
